How Dentists Rip Us Off – Amsterdam, Bath and Tenby in June

For sure, it’s best to get a recommendation from a friend (or someone like me) when it comes to dentists but hey, don’t just take my word for it, read this enlightening article from Readers Digest entitled, “How Dentists Rip Us Off”;

Happy New Year! Come on in 2014! 2013 was a challenging year. Fortunately, I was able to fly away a few times, like

Amsterdam in June

My first time, so I planned just a taste, a few nights in a garden view room in a Dutch house on the Canal. From there I walked to Coffee shops and the Red Light District.

I ferried over to the Film Museum, before taking a Canal cruise, which I loved.

Most of the museums are bunched together, so I first walked around the neighborhood, admiring the architecture, which didn’t leave me enough time to see the art inside.

The train from the airport to the center of town couldn’t have been more convenient. There are lots of ways to get around the city although the locals seem to prefer bicycles.

Everyone I encountered was lovely and friendly. I could easily live in Amsterdam.

Decided to avoid London and fly into Amsterdam and connect to Bristol. The next few weeks were spent with the family in Wales, exploring the Welsh Coast.

I booked a few days in Penzance and took day trips to St. Ives and Land’s End. Once known as a wellness resort, Tenby, in England, was perfect for a pictorial essay. On another day, Bath was close enough for an afternoon soak in their ancient mineral waters.

I did make it to Thailand in the fall, namely, Bangkok, Chang Mai, and Hua Hin. Extended my trip for another week in Bangkok when I discovered that eye exams are free in Thailand.  Updated lenses for two of my old frames at a cost of $30. each for single vision. The best exam and lenses ever.

I made an appointment for my yearly physical at Yanhee, ($120.) as well as cleaning my teeth and replacing a few fillings with my favorite dentist in the whole world. I wish I could bottle Dr. Kamala like a genie…

Till next time…

    I'd love to know more about which dentist you are talking about. Can you provide us with a website to visit?
